Coastal Carolina's well-oiled new works project every May invites established composers and lyricists from the Broadway community to work with our advanced performance students on their newest projects.

The stars aligned and we acquired My Man Godfrey, based on the the novella by Eric Hatch turned Oscar-winning film, and adapted by the illustrious team of Rupert Holmes and Mark Hollmann. The process was rewarding, most impressively for the writers, who were constantly surprised by the generosity and virtuosity of our students. They returned the favor in kind, the experience was rich and memorable. A true highlight of the 22/23 season.
